On 12th March 2008 The Forum for Preventing Deaths in Police Custody published its collaborative study with MET FMEs
'This study was conducted in collaboration between the IPCC, the Metropolitan Police Service and Forensic Medical Examiners working in London. It presents figures on the prevalence of near misses (also known as near deaths) in police custody, explores their circumstances, and makes recommendations on custody practice.'
