Benefits of Membership

We hope you join and assist us in making this a vibrant and innovative community. We intend to introduce services such as the notification and promotion of Courses and Events. Registered members would have advanced notice of such activities.

You may only read or post articles and messages in the forum as a member. We hope the Message Board will prove to be a very useful resource and be at the heart of a thriving on-line community.

In the longer term we hope to carry advertising for employment within the Forensic Nursing arena, again there will be priority access for Registered Members. Registered Members will have priority in the submission of links, courses, events, news and articles for them to be considered for inclusion in the site.

As a registered member you will be entitled to discounts on UKAFN conference fees.

Types of Membership

There are two types of Membership available - Full and Associate. The 1st year of membership is free, the 2nd and subsequent years cost £25 for both Full and Associate membership.

Full membership is open to registered nurses working within the field of forensic nursing as forensic nurse examiners, sexual assault nurses or examiners, police custody nurses presently forensically examining suspects or providing evidence in court.

Associate membership is open to individuals who have a genuine interest in forensic nursing and / or sexual assault victim care (e.g. Crisis Worker, Victim Advocate, A & E Forensic Link Nurse or similar). Some custody nurses might prefer Associate membership, at least initially.

Yearly subscription fees may be paid online here by credit or debit card through PayPal.
